It's done. This wasn't my best job but I learned a lot doing it. It was a very educational project. I made several changes. For example, I used 3/8" overlap European style hinges (from Rockler) for the lower doors. The hinges that were recommended were way too flimsy and the doors sagged.

This project is an entertainment armoire for my daughter. I don't have construction shots for this project—just progress pictures.

I recently bought a DadoWiz from Woodline. What is a DadoWiz you might ask? From their website:
The DadoWiz is a precision jig for making dado cuts with any hand held router and fits any 1-3/16 standard bushing hole. The DadoWiz allows you to take any standard or odd size lumber and make precision dados without measuring the matching material or adjusting the cutters through the use of shims or other techniques.
What I needed was a way to make a 7' dado 1/64" deep along the side of an entertainment armoire I was making. It seems I sanded through the veneer beside the face frame . My repair solution was to route the dado and then iron in a strip of edge banding. Clever, eh?
