I've been working on a linen press (aka linen armoire) for some time. Progress has been slow as I've been spending a lot of time working on and riding motorcycles. Anyway, I've started on a cherry linen press for my beloved spousal unit.
The original design called for a cherry plywood carcass. Being somewhat old fashioned, I decided to use solid cherry and dovetail joints for the carcass. Pics below.
The press is made in two parts for ease in movement and construction. The joints on the base are half-blind dovetails. The top joint will be exposed hence the half-blind dovetails.
The dust panel has birch plywood panels. Obviously, there will be two deep drawers in the base.

The top has through-dovetail joints. Those will be covered up by the trim. The feet on the base were purchased. The top will have 4 full-width sliding shelves.

Here's the unit with the trim added
