Old Men, KTMs and Hematomas Print E-mail

Ya, that makes for an interesting article title.  Read on!

It really is all about how I got this.

Viewed straight on, I have a girlie hip on one side! Smiley

This saga started when a friend of a friend decided to sell his cherry '07 KTM 450EXC.  The bike only had 650 miles on it, was well maintained and had all the recommended farkles installed/done.  I got it at about $2K less than its real value--who can pass up a deal like that!

This guy didn't help matters either.  Rob has been lusting after an '07 450EXC and saw no reason why I shouldn't buy one.  He even offered to test ride it for me!

Rob had a big practice area in his backyard... soon I was doing this...

and then a few weeks later we were off to Green Ridge State Forest.  About 3/4 of the way around the 2nd lap, I got cocky, cranked on it going up a steep section, hit a {something} and discovered myself staring at the tree canopy.  It didn't hurt too bad then but by the time I got to the truck, it was excruciating and swollen.  The blood clot eventually settled down my leg and I looked like a truck hit me.

Not long after I bought some of these from Johnson Leather - Force Field Action Shorts.  I've tested then since then and they work just fine.
